Melody by Michael Oudemans

Michael Oudemans, silkscreen 1/100 “Melody”, 5” x 3.5”. Signed lower right. Michiel Oudemans, 1950-2017. Was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick (in family of Dutch immigrants). Michiel was an artist and a woodworker, a designer and a researcher. He had many different jobs in his life from canoe builder and mapper of canoe routes to scientific illustrator and graphic designer, from wedding photographer and deck hand on an oil tanker to furniture maker and production manager of a wood shop. He was a master in woodblock printmaking, wood turning and relief carving, and drawing.
